Senior Business Development Manager
Position Summary

Responsible for the development and identification of new business. Reporting to the President, this producer role requires excellent prospecting skills at the C-level within mid-size software companies. This position requires a strong track record creating and closing sales opportunities of complex partnership transactions.

Position Responsibilities

  • Identifies C-level and VP level decision makers in target prospect companies.
  • Utilizes consultative service selling skills to develop key relationships and to present the value of our software as a service solution product delivery methodology
  • Develops custom proposals to meet prospect’s business needs.
  • Professionally represents company and/or partners at industry events.
  • Proactively develops relationships with key influencers within target industries

Professional Background/Characteristics

  • 5+ years consultative selling of solutions to senior executives (VP, CFO, COO and CEO) within small, mid-size and large companies.
  • Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills required.
  • Ability to cold-call executive decision makers, develop need for services, and build value at key prospect accounts.
  • Self-starter, accustomed to working effectively managing various relationships at corporate offices and with customers.
  • Ability to work well and influence others in matrixed environments.
  • 4-year college degree required.
  • Proven track record of meeting sales goals.

Additional Skills

  • Computer skills to include proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, sales contact management systems. (e.g. Salesforce.com, ACT, others)
  • Background in launching existing products into new sales territories and sales channels.
  •  
  • Highly effective oral and written communicator, board room presentation skills.
  • Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively at all levels within the organization.
  • Demonstrated energy, drive, passion, and determination to forge strong relationships within client accounts and with other key constituents.
  • Positive, can-do attitude, with strong team orientation.
