Wizmo Inc, a successful Twin Cities Software as a Service (SaaS) enterprise, is hiring a Business Development Manager (BDM). This position is responsible for obtaining desired results in revenue growth and targets as well as ensuring high quality customer relations and retention. This position is responsible for hunting new business opportunities through cold calling on decision-makers, department heads and other key contacts within his/her own territory. The BDM is responsible for working as a partner to other areas of the business with the intent to execute the overall account strategy and further penetrate and maximize sales opportunities. This individual will also be called upon to influence and support new business and strategic product initiatives. This position is responsible for obtaining desired results in new growth and revenue targets as well as ensuring high quality customer relations and retention. The BDM will be expected to meet/exceed quota targets and goals. Take direction from the management in developing an account strategy plan and manage account/territory development. Prepare and present business proposals and make professional presentations to business prospects/customers. Maintain frequent and personal contact with new and existing business customers to build strong relationships. Maintain a professional image and work environment. Ensure positive interaction, professionalism with internal and external customers on issues, and handle escalated customer issues. Keep monthly sales forecast and funnel updated and current.

Business Degree (Marketing major preferred) or equivalent experience is required. Requires five plus years of successful business-to-business sales experience, with a proven record of accomplishment in meeting or exceeding quota. The person should have previous outside sales training as well as canvassing and prospecting training and experience. Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills are required. Solid organizational skills, strong negotiation skills, high self-confidence and the ability to aggressively seek new business are also required. Must be a flexible team-oriented individual and have strong decision making and problem solving capabilities. Must be able to present professional image of self and company. Proven experience in successfully handling customer inquiries and handling difficult customers professionally is required. Must possess a personal commitment to providing quality products and service. Computer literacy, including MS Office applications, is required. Three to five years experience working in B2B and/or internet services industry a plus.
