Wizmo Inc. to Help ISVs Deliver Software as a Service By Joining the Microsoft SaaS On-Ramp Program

 

Eden Prairie, MN (May 25th, 2007) - Wizmo Inc. a leader in the Software as a Service (SaaS) industry, announced today that it has joined the Microsoft SaaS On-Ramp Program. This program is designed to assist Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) in delivering their software in a SaaS model by providing special pricing on Microsoft Windows Server and Microsoft SQL Server licenses.

 

Many forward-thinking ISVs have already taken advantage of this rapidly growing delivery model to augment their product portfolios allowing them to gain entry into new markets, increase their revenue streams and shorten sales cycles and implementation times. Smaller ISVs are realizing that the SaaS delivery model allows them to compete with any size ISV, further driving growth of the SaaS model among ISVs. The Microsoft SaaS On-Ramp Program offers eligible ISVs special pricing on Microsoft Windows Server Standard Edition and Microsoft SQL Server Standard Edition processor licenses for twelve months. Participating ISVs also receive the benefits associated with the Microsoft Services Provider License Agreement (SPLA), a monthly subscription based licensing program that allows users to license Microsoft products on a consumption basis for offering hosted services and applications to end customers. The Microsoft SPLA includes access to the latest versions of Microsoft software.
